Arriving in Anguilla: documents, transfers and packing
A checklist from your flight to the beach
Table of Contents
Plan the arrival chain first: airport or port, any border crossing and your transfer to accommodation. Your luggage should still work if a connection changes.
From the ticket to the meeting point.
Choose AXA or an arrival by sea
Clayton J. Lloyd (AXA) is Anguilla’s airport. Sea arrivals use Blowing Point: Marigot is on French Saint-Martin, while Simpson Bay is on Dutch Sint Maarten. They are not interchangeable terminals. Save the exact port, carrier and meeting point in your travel plan.
Documents for your citizenship
Arrival from another island involves a border. Check passport and any visa requirements with the authorities for your citizenship and complete route. GOV.UK rules for British citizens are not a universal answer for every traveler. Keep confirmations and carrier contact details within reach.
Timetables, fees and luggage
Check your carrier and the port authority for the date chosen. The AASPA page consulted also contains timetables for past periods: do not use an old table for a new connection. Verify port fees, limits and luggage handling in your confirmation; do not assume every charge is included.
A beach-ready bag
Keep swimwear, a towel, hat, sun protection and an easy change of clothes accessible. On a boat, protect your phone and documents from splashes. The Little Bay trip excludes towels and snacks; the four-hour charter also excludes food and sun cream. Read your product’s list rather than another excursion’s.
Accommodation transfers and appointments
Confirm how to reach the hotel and activities from your actual arrival point. The beach day from Blowing Point includes transfers to Meads Bay but excludes your international flight or ferry. If already on the island, arrange travel to the meeting point. Retain supplier contact details and share only what your booking requires.
Frequently asked questions

No. Use the inclusions and confirmation for the exact offer.
Can I take a large suitcase on the boat?
Check dimensions, weight and handling with the carrier. This guide does not publish a universal luggage allowance.
